Listen To: Travis Garland - Travis Garland [Album Stream]

Following the release of his well-received independent mixtapes "Fashionably Late" and "Fashionably Late II" mixtapes earlier this year, Texas native Travis Garland has released his self-titled debut album. Years after being in the Chris Stokes-discovered boy band NLT (Not Like Them), the singer is making a name for himself as a solo artist in the Urban and R&B scene.

The 15-track album features new material ("Clouds", "Motel Pool") along with songs previously released on his mixtapes including "Where To Land", "Homewrecker", and "Blue Electric Roses". He managed to team up with hit-making production team The Stereotypes (Chris Brown, Danity Kane).

While being compared to likes of Justin Timberlake, Travis has own individual musical style in his R&B music. For someone who's not on a huge record label (meaning not having a big budget), the production quality for this album was impressive.

You can purchase his self-titled debut in stores and iTunes now.

Neon Hitch covers Miley Cyrus' "We Can't Stop"

We haven't heard much news from British singer Neon Hitch in over a year, she's making her return with a new cover. This time its of Miley Cyrus' hit single "We Can't Stop".

In 2011, Neon got millions of views from other tracks she's covered like Wiz Khalifa's "On My Level", Waka Flocka Flame's "No Hands", and Kreayshawn's "Gucci Gucci". Now she's moving away from the hip-hop covers and is taking on "We Can't Stop". The production was created by the Kinetics & One Love (B.o.B, ). They produced a smooth reinterpretation of "We Can't Stop", it comes with the down-tempo beat and some new lyrics. Along with the debut of this pop rendition, she also teases the release of upcoming music.

In the visual, she sings in a small bar at the beach while being accompanied by a live band. Currently, their is still no release date for the songstress long-awaited debut album, but new music will be revealed from the singer soon. Last year, Neon released a mixtape titled "Happy Neon" on her official website for free, so go and check that out.

New Music: Jhené Aiko - Bed Peace (Feat. Childish Gambino)

R&B singer Jhené Aiko is back with the first official single from her upcoming EP "Sail Out", which is scheduled to hit stores and digital retailers on October 29th. The music will feature appearances from Wiz Khalifa, Big Sean, Ab-Soul, and Kendrick Lamar. The lead single is titled "Bed Peace" featuring Childish Gambino.

3.5/5

The track title and single cover are inspired by John Lennon and Yoko Ono's 1969 'Bed-Ins for Peace'. "Bed Peace" is a mid-tempo track that's about spending the day in bed with that someone special. Aiko's soothing voice fits well on Fisticuffs laid-back 90's production with a simple percussion in the background. Gambino verse was underwhelming, Jhené definitely could have carried the song on her own.
