Stream Kerli's latest EP "Utopia" (OUT NOW)

Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Kerli released her latest EP "Utopia" in March of last year. The artwork has an futuristic concept that was created in collaboration by photographer Brian Ziff and artist Natalie Shau, with costuming, hair and make-up done by Kerli herself. The music was made five years following the release of Kerli's 2008 debut album "Love Is Dead". The tracks from this EP were originally intended as Kerli's second album.
"The overall vision for UTOPIA was somewhat of a mix between fantasy, future and ancient China", says Kerli", all of it soaked in a pastel space sauce to capture the uber positive energy of the music".
Check out Kerli's interview with ClevverMusic, where she talks about "Utopia".

Their's seven tracks on the EP, you can listen to all of them below.

Overall, all the songs has an positive message and heavily electronic dance-influenced sound. It features feature production by Swedish production duo SeventyEight as well as British producer and DJ Switch. If you've been following Kerli since the beginning, her debut album had a dark pop rock sound. This EP has much more of a bright and uplifting feel to it, "The Lucky Ones" would be the perfect example of that description. "Utopia" was about her search for love and happiness, she said she went through a "huge transformation personally" while writing the music.
