Pixie Lott to release self-titled album + announces 1st single "Nasty"

Pixie Lott has officially announced some details about her upcoming new single and album.

The singer-songwriter revealed all the exciting news through a recent Google+ Hangout. She debuted the cover for her upcoming third album, which is self-titled (Pixie Lott) and the first official single taken from the project is called "Nasty". The album serves as the follow-up to 2011's "Young Foolish Happy". Been waiting forever for another album from Pixie. Her sophomore album had some really good music on there, unfortunately is didn't do well. It debuted on the UK Album Charts at #18, with very low first week sells.

Check out the full Google+ Hangout below.

Its being reported that "Nasty" was originally recorded by Christina Aguilera as a duet with Cee Lo Green for her Burlesque movie. Aguilera's version of the track never got released. Since then, it has been reworked by Pixie.

The single is scheduled to be released January 2014.

New Music: Kat Dahlia - Crazy

Cuban singer-songwriter Kat Dahlia is ending 2013 strong with the release of a new single titled "Crazy". The 23-year-old made her debut this year with the breakthrough track "Gangsta", after that she continued to get her name out there with several other singles like "Fireman" and "Clocks". She recently released a six -track EP "Seeds" in November and is currently recording her debut album "Garden", which scheduled to hit stores in February 2014. The album will feature production Salaam Remi, Timbaland, Rico Love, Stargate, Naughty Boy, Fraser T. Smith and many more.

5/5

"Crazy was produced Glass John, its a infectious upbeat pop track with an slight throwback R&B sound that can't be denied. Kat sings being in love at times can make individuals to do 'crazy' things and make bad decisions (I can sure hell relate to that). Her husky voice brings it to a whole nother level, when you combine it with the drums, guitar, and hands claps in the background. This could easily become a hit on the radio, with the right push behind it. I'm totally feeling this song, it could possibly be the best track she's revealed since "Gangsta".

You can download Kat Dahlia's new single "Crazy" for free via her official website.

Video Premiere: John Mayer - Who You Love (Feat. Katy Perry)

John Mayer and Katy Perry is the love they have for each other in the premiere of his music video "Who You Love". The track serves as the third official single from his sixth album "Paradise Valley", which is available in stores  and digital retailers now.

The visual was directed by Sophie Muller, it features the real-life couple and others riding a mechanical bull and then it moves to a desert setting.
"We set up the casting call for real couples", John revealed during the Good Morning America debut. "There was nothing scripted in the video, except putting the bull in the middle of the desert".
Cute video, but the song is a grower.

Check out the video, after the jump.

Video Premiere: Robin Thicke - Feel Good

2013 has been quite a year for Robin Thicke. He gained huge success with his hit single and album "Blurred Lines" and even received three Grammy nominations. The singer-songwriter has premiered his the music video for "Feel Good". The track serves as the third official single from his sixth album "Blurred Lines" which is available stores and digital retailers now.

The visual was directed by Sophie Muller, it's definitely not as controversial like the "Blurred Lines".

Check out the video, after the jump.

New Music: Cassie - Indo

One year after the release of her EP "True", Solange brought her favorite R&B artists for her very first compilation titled "Saint Heron". The album serves as the first release on her independent label Saint Records. It features 12 tracks that includes appearances from  Jhené Aiko, Sampha, Kelela, and many more. Bad Boy artist Cassie is on the project as well, she gives her vocals on the album cut "Indo". Haven't really heard too much from the singer since she dropped her mixtape "RockaByeBaby" earlier this year.

2/5
"I've loved Cassie since 'Me&U', she's such a talented artist", Solange said about working with Cassie. "A few other people had written some stuff for her, but when we were talking about working together, we realized that we really wanted to go into the studio, just the two of us, and just jam out and feel each other's vibes".
"Indo" was written and produced by Solange herself, she also provides background vocals. I love these type of songs that has that mellow, laid-back, feel good production. Only problem I have with it is......well Cassie. Knowing the type of voice she has (which is very soft), you would think it would blend nicely along with the beat. For some reason I don't like her on this, she should have gotten Tinashe, Vanessa Elisha or even Banks.

Video Premiere: VIXX - Voodoo Doll

VIXX has comeback with a dark and creepy concept for their new music video "Voodoo Doll".

"Voodoo Doll" is the title track from their first full-length album "Voodoo".

The song was done by hit songwriter Shin Hyuk, who has written hits for SHINee ("Dream Girl") and EXO ("Growl"). Kim Lee Na also provided the lyrics to the song as well.

The music video is graphic and gory, the members become sacrificial voodoo dolls. Due to the things shown in the visual, it has been rated-R. VIXX has released a clean version of "Voodoo Doll", which features more choregrahpy.

VIXX has really caught my attention this year. Before the release of "G.R.8.U", I was never interested in them. They've have had a great year and have put out some good music, I look forward to see what they'll do in 2014.

New Music: Elle Varner - Rover (Feat. Wale)

Elle Varner is planning to release her sophomore album sometime in 2014. She has kicked off this new era with a new single titled "Rover" featuring MMG artist Wale.

4/5

The track was produced by Eric Hudson and Elijah Blake. It features a smooth seductive beat with Elle's sultry voice lead over it. I guess this serves as a taste of what we'll hear on her upcoming album.

LEDApple release digital single "With The Wind" + Reveals music video

After releasing the latin-flavored song "Bad Boys" back in June, the boys of LEDApple are back with another comeback track titled "With the Wind".

LEDApple recruits Shinsadong Tiger for this digital single and it has received a lot of positive reviews compared to "Bad Boys". Its a rock ballad that fit perfect for the fall season (it was released around that time). The main vocalist of the group Hanbyul delivers an emotional powerful performance on the track. "With The Wind" is a song that any listener can relate to. LEDApple is a really great band, its a shame that their not on the level of success like F.T Island or CN Blue.

The music video was very simple, but I enjoyed it. The band is an one room, while Hanbyul is standing in front of the mic and his members are playing on their instruments. It does cut to other scenes of a girl.

Former RichGirl member Kristal Lyndriette signs to Voltron Rrecords + Reveals debut single "Silhouette"

Its been three years since R&B foursome RichGirl disbanded. One of the former members being Sevyn Streeter went on to write music for some big artists and is crafting a successful solo career so far with the release of her debut EP "Call Me Crazy, But...". Another member now going by Kristal Lyndriette (before it was just Lyndriette) has moved on and is pursuing a solo career as well. She signed a recording contract with Tyrese Gibson's record label Voltron Records and plans on release her debut album sometime in 2014.

"An artist like Kristal may come along once in a decade, I am just overjoyed that I have the opportunity to present her talents to the world". "In Kristal's album, both fans, radio programmers and music directors will find an in-depth record which not only sounds amazing but will touch you in a way that music hasn't in a very long time".
The singer has given fans preview to whats to come from her in future. She premiered her debut single titled "Silhouette".

3/5

"Silhouette" is a sexy R&B jam, that features sensual vocals over smooth production. Not first single material to lead her debut album, but its a good introduction to the fans and to people who don't know who she is.

New Music: Nina Sky - Overtime

Since the release of their second album "Nicole and Natalie" last year, Nina Sky hasn't been doing any music related activities this year until now. The twin sisters are back with a new track "Overtime".

4/5

The seductive track was produced by Slimmy Neutron, who also done work for their independent album. For this, they seem to going into a more urban direction for this new era. On the electro-R&B jam they reveal their take on lovemaking. Instead of releasing dance tracks that we know them for, the duo is giving us a sultry sexy ballad. The song premiered on their Soundcloud and is available as free download. There's no information at this time on whether or not another album is in the works. Hopefully this is a preview to what we'll get in 2014.

Video Premiere: Eminem - The Monster (Feat. Rihanna)

These has a had hits single under their belts in the past and now is no different. It's currently sitting on Top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The visual was directed by Rich Lee and Rihanna play the Eminem's psychologist as he relives moments from his past. Clips from videos like "Lose Yourself", "Stan", and "My Name Is" play on a television. It kinda acts as an highlight video of his career.

New Music: Karmin - I Want It All

Pop duo Karmin are back with their new single "I Want It All". The track serves as the follow- up to the first single "Acapella", that was released this past summer time. Both singles are going to be on their upcoming debut album "Pulses", which is set to hit stores and digital retailers early-mid 2014 via Epic Records.

4/5

"I Want It All" sounds nothing like anything they've put out before, which is a good thing as it shows that their open to experimenting with different sounds. This is a fun catchy disco-influenced, that would be perfect for the radio. If they put some promotion and make a decent visual out for the song, it shouldn't be a problem climbing up the charts.

DELIGHT's 2nd mini-album "School Bells Ringing" out now

After debuting in April of this year with their debut track "Mega-Yak" and first mini-album, DELIGHT has returned with the release of their second mini-album "School Bells Ringing".

The album has a total of 6 tracks: "Intro (We Are The Delight)", the title track "School Bells Ringing" (Check out the music video here), "Toc Toc Toc", "Oheya", and "Love or Hate".

This is a bit calmer in production compared to their debut song. That song was way too noisy for me and wasn't pleasant to listen to. It's an upbeat dance song that showcases the group's hip-hop side, it talks about the pressures students experience.

The physical album is available to purchase on Yesasia, Kpop Town, Kpop Mart, or if your in Korea Soribada, MelOn, Olleh Music and Bugs. You can also buy the album internationally on iTunes now.

The song is featured on the project and its officially set to hit stores on February 4th, 2014, which is just in time for Valentine's Day.

3/5

"Where Did We Go Wrong" serves as a follow-up to their hit single "Hurt You". The track is a soft guitar-driven ballad about how a long lasting relationship can take major turn for the worst.

TASTY release digital single "Day'n Night" + Reveals music videos

The TASTY twins recently made a second comeback this year with a new song "Day'N Night". It looks like their not taking too much of a break between releases, compared to last year. Three months after the release of their second single album "Spectacular" and title track "MAMAMA", the duo returned with a digital single "Day'N Night".

The boys are trying out a different producer and sound for this track. Rphabet has produced TASTY's previous singles, but now they've decided to go to producer Heuktae. He's also the vocalist in a group Retro Bomb. The production is heavily 90's inspired, this style of music isn't heard too often in K-Pop. It has a nice combination of drums, synths, guitar riffs and one thing I love the most was them or their agency not relying on auto-tune. You can hear their voices much more clearly, compared to the previous releases. Speaking of vocals, the singing was weak at times and it was veryyy noticeable at least for me. I see the duo as a performance group or artist and usually when you label someone that, your not concentrating on how good he or she voice is, your attention is on the performance (Dancing and etc.). I'm certainly not saying the twins sound horrible, they are well-trained in singing, rapping, and obviously in the dancing department. But the vocals displayed in the track fell short at times.

The music video was interesting, it had an cinematic theme. It featured some great sceneries, the visual was filmed around in Hong Kong. When you start to watch, half-way through you'll probably have a conclusion already drawn up in your head. In the story, they fight over a girl, but it ends in a twist.

Also check out the the performance version of the video, which showcases their awesome dance skills.

3/5

They tweeted the following message about the track:
"Headed Home started it all for us and we dedicate it to the woman who started it all for us. We love you Mom".
"Headed Home" is a very special song to the girls, it was written in support of the Philippines. They along with their brother Bruno Mars are from Southeast Asia, which is where the typhoon happened not too long ago.

New Music: Rochelle Jordan - Follow Me

Canadian R&B singer-songwriter Rochelle Jordan has finally returned with a new single titled "Follow Me".

5/5

Last year she gain a fan-base with the release of her mixtape called "PRESSURE". Now Rojo is back with another smooth new single "Follow Me". The track was written soley by her and produced by her go-to producer KLSH. Once again she's channeling Aaliyah over the wonderful sultry R&B production. It has elements of 90's back in the day R&B/Soul mixed with what we here today. It's been a long time since we've gotten some new music from Rochelle. Since we got a new release, hopefully that's a sign that we're getting a mixtape, EP, or her long-awaited debut album sometime in 2014. This is probably a taste of what she's being working on in the recording studio. I want more material and fast.

Lea Michele reveals new single "Cannonball" from debut album

After tragically co-star/boyfriend Cory Monteith tragically passed away, "Glee" actress Lea Michele has found the strength to continue on with her career. The singer released a new track called "Cannonball", it will serve as the first official from her upcoming debut album "LOUDER".

3/5

"Cannonball" is a mid-tempo pop track, that was written by Sia Furler and produced by Stargate. The single displays Lea's very good vocal abilities and the control she has during the chorus. Overall, the song is nothing ground-breaking and I don't see it shooting up the charts, then again I could be wrong.

Also check out Lea's first performance of the song below.

Video Premiere: Candice Glover - Cried

Season 12 American Idol winner Candice Glover premiered the music video for "Cried". The track serves as the first single from her debut album "Music Speaks", which is set to hit stores on February 18th, 2014. It has been pushed back two times already, with the original dates being July 16th and October 8th of this year.

The emotional visual was directed by TAJ. Its a simple music video and I was expecting a lot more, with it being the first official single to lead the album. Their were actors acting out an dramatic storyline, while Candice stands in a dark room singing to the lyrics. What would have been a lot better, was to actually have her act out the story.

The single is available to purchase on iTunes now.

New Music: Ashley Tisdale - You're Always Here

Ashley Tisdale hasn't been active in the music industry since releasing her sophomore album "Guilty Pleasure" in 2009. The High School Musical actress returned with a new track titled "You're Always Here".

1/5

"You're Always Here" was written and produced by her fiance Christopher French. The ballad pays tribute to her late grandfather Arnold, some of the proceeds will be donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Nothing great about the song, but I like the message behind it though.

Video Premiere: T-ara - Number Nine

T-ara is back with one of two title tracks called "Number Nine". The track is on their eight mini-album "Again".

Its an upbeat dance song, that features T-ara's trademark sound and it was produced by Shinsadong Tiger.

The first music video for "Number Nine" consist of dancing and individual shots. The second is a desert version, that overlooks the Mongolian desert scenery. If you seen the teaser photos, the setting of the music video may look familiar. Unlike the original version, there is no choreography and we just see the members looking sad.

Stream Bridget Kelly new EP "Cut To Bridget Kelly"

Bridget Kelly's debut album was scheduled to released this year, but unfortunately it didn't get the release date. To hold over her fans sadly, she has released her second free EP "Cut to...Bridget Kelly".

The six tracks include the tracks "Special Delivery" and "Coca1n3 Heartbreak" plus contributions from Jerry Wonda (“Goosebumps”), Sam Dew, Elijah Blake, and Cri$tyle.

"I speak a lot about love and my feelings on these songs", said Bridget. "I speak to those who have been in relationships, the good and the bad, and that in the midst of turmoil, finding something you can smile about".
Spotify users can stream the EP now, it will be available as a free download on December 17th on BridgetKelly.com.

Video Premiere: Britney Spears - Perfume

Britney Spears has premiered the music video for "Perfume". The track serves as the second official single from her eighth album "Britney Jean", which is available in stores and iTunes now.

The visual was directed by Joseph Kahn, I'm not too sure about the actually storyline. It doesn't mesh well with the song. The director recently went on Twitter and said how he wanted his cut of the video out instead, but it didn't get approved.
"Official cut is a good video as you'll soon see. But it's a true loss not to see what she really did", Joseph tweeted. "It's incredible. Beyond other artists".
Even if his cut of the video was better, I don't think it would have saved the song from flopping on the charts or the album for that matter.
