Kat Dahlia created some buzz (not in a good way) a few weeks ago getting arrested for driving under the influence. Now since that's old news, the singer-songwriter is back with a new track "Clocks" which was produced by Salaam Remi. It will be included on her upcoming debut album "My Garden", which is now set to drop in February 2014 via Vested in Culture / Epic Records.
"Clocks" was co-written and produced by Salaam Remi, who has worked with some talented vocalists in the music industry like the late Amy Winehouse, Jazmine Sullivan, Melanie Fiona and many more. The track is on the urban side, which I suspected. She showcases her raspy voice in a hip-hop type of vocal styling.
The song is good, but I want hear Kat strengthen her vocals in her music. Hopefully when she releases the first official single from the project, that its a standout and shines some light on what her album is about.
