78violet (formerly Aly & AJ) making comeback new single "Hothouse"

Some of us has been wanting a long time for Aly & AJ (whose now going by 78violet) to release new music, well that day has finally come. The sister duo are making their musical comeback this year.

After their departure from Hollywood Records in 2010, they presented a couple of tracks under their new stage name. During this time, they pretty much left music temporarily and put more focus into acting.

The sisters have signed with Jonathan Shank and Bruce Flohr at Red Light Management. They're currently working on their debut album with producer David Kahne. This will be the duo's first album is six years, but fourth album overall in their career.

They spoke about their new partnership with Redlight Management:

"We're thrilled to introduce 78violet (formerly know as "Aly & AJ") under Redlight Management. We’re honored to be represented by such a successful and forward thinking firm aimed towards artistry and longevity", the duo said.

Their forthcoming single "Hothouse" is set to be released very soon under their production company 'Violet House', the video for it has already been shot.

4minute releases "Is It Poppin?" digital single + Reveals music video

Not too soon after they released their fourth mini-album "Name Is 4minute" back in April, 4minute returned with their new digital single "Is It Poppin?".

This track was produced by Brave Brothers, who also did the girls unexpected hit track from their fourth mini-album titled "What's My Name". "Is It Poppin'" (Korean translation: How's the Water?) is a dance hip-hop inspired with a summer vibe.

I remember when I first heard "What's My Name", I thought this was their weakest single. Now that's not the case anymore, "Is It Poppin" is very underwhelming. I did notice Jihyun have a hell of a lot more parts in this compared to the last, which is a good a thing.

Jessica Sutta new single "Lights Out" to premiere on August 20th

Jessica Sutta will be releasing her follow-up track to "Again".

Her record label Citrusonic Stereophonic has announced that her new single "Lights Out" will released to digital retailers on (Tuesday) August 20th.

Check out a snippet below. (It's very low quailty)

The track serves as the second promotional single from her upcoming debut solo album, which is planned to be released this year via Citrusonic Stereophoic. Can't make a full judgement, but it sounds more dancey than her other previous releases. Hopefully this time we get a proper music video and some choreography. I was annoyed that "Again" (feat. Kemal Golden) didn't a video treatment.

Following the split from Island Records UK in 2011, now-indie artist Frankmusik is back with his third album "Between".

This is the British singer-songwriter first full-length album since 2011's "Do it in the A.M.". The album first single "Chasing Shadows" is an haunting powerhouse synth-ballad. The production is flawless and the vocal delivery amazing.

All twelve tracks has diversify, a combination of electronic sound with pop, gospel, and rock influences. And to know surprise all the was impressively written and produced solely by Frank.

Introducing: Vanessa Elisha

I'm going to introduce you to Vanessa Elisha, who's an 21 year-old independent singer-songwriter from Australia. Through just one independent release, she's quickly making a name for herself.

When her debut single "Blur" got unleashed, it picked up a lot of attention from numerous music blogs including BlakMusicFirst, Global14, Dope State of Mind and more. Produced by Jrdn.Gxnius (CVIRO , VINNY CHA$E, Marky.) and written by Vanessa herself, "Blur" features Vanessa's smooth R&B vocals and production that reminds me of the type of R&B sounding music I don't hear too often in this day in age. I love going back and listening to music from the 90's and early 00's, for me "Blur" reminiscent those eras.

This track is undoubtedly a perfect introduction to Vanessa and what we can expect from her 'musical' in the future.

Listen to the track below.

The track will be included on her upcoming untitled debut EP, which set to be released soon. You can download the single for free through their official SoundCloud account.

Vanessa Elisha is a promising new talent and I can confidently say, her music will never be a let down.

Namie Amuro releases 11th album "FEEL" + Listen to her club anthem "Alive"

Namie Amuro has lite up the music scene this summer with her new album "FEEL".

This is the follow-up to album "Uncontrolled", which was released nearly one year ago. "FEEL" a total of 248,000 copies within the first week, making this is her 6th consecutive #1 album since the release of "PLAY" in 2007. It also turned out that this was the best first week sales by solo artist this year, that title was previously held by Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's second album "Nanda Collection" back in June. Namie's album is currently and officially the best selling album by a solo artist this year.

The music from the album ranges from piano and string ballads to powerful dance tracks. Other than the new tracks, it features songs like "Big Boys Cry", "Hands On Me" (PV was shot in Los Angles, California), "Contrail" the theme song for TBS' 'The Flying Public Relations Office' (this PV was also shot in California), and ‘Can You Feel This Love’, which is the theme song for Mezamashi TV.

I have listened to the album and its nothing but flawless. Some of my favorite tracks are "Hands On Me", "Big Boys Cry", "Heaven" and more. The one that stood out the most was the track "Alive".

Listen to the track below.

"Alive" is the definition for what a club song should sound like. Sometimes when Namie sings in English is a bit broken up, but in this you can hear her clearly. Rumors has been floating around saying this could possibly serve as the first international single, if that's true I'm all for it. "Hands On Me" could also be a perfect fit as well.

As much as it sucks, "FEEL" is currently not on US iTunes, but you can purchase the album through Yesasia.

New Music: Ariana Grande - Baby I

As of late, Ariana Grande is being heavily compared to Mariah Carey and she's proving that once again with a new release. The singer/actress follows up her Mac Miller-assisted hit "The Way" with "Baby I". The summertime track was written and produced by Babyface, Tony Dixon, and j.Que.

Not too long after its release on iTunes, it entered entered the top 5 on the iTunes Chart. Personally for me, I was surprised to see "The Way" debut on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart at #2, very unexpected. So within the next week or two, this will probably be a hit as well.

Ariana's debut album is due out September 3th via Universal Republic.

Karmin to release "Pulses" in September + Reveals album cover

Karmin has revealed the album cover their debut album "Pulses".

The album will include first official single "Acapella" and a new track "Try Me On". The duo signed a record deal with Epic Records in 2011. In 2012, they released their successful debut EP "Hello".

They were explain the album title to Rolling Stone recently and revealed:

"We want to call it "Pulses" because it’s kind of like the honeymoon is over now. They explained. There's good and bad. It's not necessarily everything is happy-go-lucky tracks. There's also some serious stuff. There's definitely a lot more depth in it, which is something we've always felt we wanted to do".

Their debut EP "Hello" featured the hit single "Brokenhearted". That particular release was more in a pop direction. If you've listened to "Acapella", the duo seem to have departed the pop sound for an urban sound. Not to say I didn't like their previous release, but I'm loving this Karmin.

"Pulse" is currently scheduled to hit stores in September.
